This is a good way to build momentum and get more views for new accounts.
Momentum on new accounts helps get the ball rolling on ALL your videos, even older videoes. Which is part of the reason why its critical to keep posting, as one video going viral can help all your other videos get more views too.
Timing matters with trends. And if you're any bit glued to your phone we can use this to our advantage. You likely see when a big trend comes up quickly, and now that you want free traffic you can hop on it and get some free views + resulting traffic to your business.
When the chill guy was going super viral i made a few videos for my app "Curiosity quench" and they got 100k+ views each. This was a trend that was going on for a few days and i was able to get some free traffic to my app even coming in late. it outranked my other videos that were already doing well at the time and got me more downloads to my app! It wasnt free traffic forever but was a nice boost to my app.

Trends are popular sounds, formats, or topics that the algorithm is pushing to more people. If you can adapt a trending format to your niche quickly, you can get extra reach on top of your normal audience.
- Adapt the trending format to your business within 48 hours
- Post it alongside your regular content (don't replace your proven formats)
Look for sounds/formats with 10K-50K uses.
When you see a trend all over, (ex: chill guy) take the trending format and adapt it to your niche within 24 hours.
Most content should be evergreen (your proven winning formats). Add only 1-2 trend posts per week. You can also make a video that is a mix of your proven format and the trend. This is a good way to get more views for your other videos.
Note: You can use a trending sound by downloading the audio, you dont need to pick it from the app always. Tiktok and instagram both recognize the audio and will show it in the trending section, and either way the important part is people enjoy the sound at that time and tend to watch more videos that use it simply because its catchy and in their head, not becuase its on the sound page.
